These excerpts from the Janie's Garden housing complex grand opening ceremony were recorded on Tuesday, September 1 and aired a day later on WSLR 95.6 FM during the Wednesday edition of The Jumping Mullet Report.

Speakers included Sarasota Housing Authority executive director Bill Russell, City Commissioner Fredd Atkins, Sarasota County Commissioners Jon Thaxton and Carolyn Mason and Janie Poe Residents Council president Valarie Buchand.
