The September 10 episode of Local Matters begins with a phone interview with Rev. Clay Thomas discussing a Labor Day bicycle ride meant to draw attention to the plight of underpaid agricultural workers.

The main segment of Local Matters is then spent talking with studio guest Sandra Washington, the longtime manager of Keep Sarasota County Beautiful and host of The Sandra Washington Show on Blab TV.
