Tim Dutton, founding director of SCOPE (Sarasota County Openly Plans for Excellence) discusses the proposed Institute for the Ages -- a think tank similar to the Aspen Institute and geared toward studying issues that impact an aging population, of which Sarasota County has the highest percentage in the nation.
Later in the show, call-in guest Gerry Swormstedt, from the Sierra Club Sarasota-Manatee Group, voices her opposition to offshore oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.
